(95,244 posts)It will be Cincinnati, not Texas: only recently learned to do the former style, and like it a lot.
Never turn my nose up at pulled pork, though, or its raffish cousin, Sloppy Joe....

(153 posts)...1 1/2 lbs. hot,(or sweet), italian sausage
2 cans Rotel tomatoes w/ green chilies, regular
44 oz. tomato sauce
1 can chili hot beans w/sauce
1 large onion, chopped
2 cloves fresh garlic, smashed
4 large sarranno peppers, stems & tips cut off, left whole
4 med. whole chipolte peppers w/ sauce
2 oz. brown sugar
1 oz. ketchup
Put in crock pot, cook 24+ hr., and enjoy!
