and I'm looking over our monthly statement for Verizon. Periodically I look at our usage on voice/text/data to make sure everything adds up; etc.

Our daughter, has sent 4855 texts last month!

IN A SHORT MONTH!

That's 173 messages per day!!!

How do these kids manage to do this?!

your daughter must be in HS? When mine was she went from 7k up to 12 k by Senior year. Funny thing it was MORE in the school months and LESS in the summer months! I havent checked the number in quite awhile because now she into FB alot, so is the wife.
I have one but I only use it to post remarks to sites I visit, so I block everyone.

So as long as those maintain, I'm happy.

12. That's only about 7 per hour, assuming you never sleep. I've never sent a text message from a phone.

It seems to be a major part of the way youngins communicate these days. I'm more of an e-mail sort.

15. Texting happens like this for me...

Usually I'd call someone instead, if it didn't turn into a line after line conversation. Which you cannot predict.

Me: Check out these Republican chicken crap eaters!
Someone: Wow, they really are dickwads!
Me: Is the word dickwad sexist?
Someone: I don't know, let me look it up.
Me: By the way, this book about nazis is scary.
Someone: All books about Nazis is scary.
Me: Oh, I don't know about that, there was this one that wasn't scary.
Someone: Then why did you read it?
Me: Fuck if I know.
