What is your favorite way to have eggs?

I was going to try a poll but apparently only star members can do that. What I was going to put in the poll is:

1) Raw
2) Hard boiled
3) Poached
4) Sunny side up
5) Over easy
6) Scrambled
7) Deviled
8) Omelette
9) Pickled
10) Soft boiled

Personally, I prefer poached.

So tasty, these eggs!

Done well, the edge of the whites becomes just a bit brown and crunchy, while the yolk stays soft, but is still hot when you eat it.

Dip the sour dough toast into the yolk or serve the eggs on top, it's all good!

that keeps them from getting hard since the temp is 212 degrees. takes a bit more time, but they are light, moist, and yummy.

1 tablespoon butter
3 to 4 eggs
2 tablespoons butter, cut into small pieces
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper

Melt 1 tablespoon butter in the top of a double boiler over, not in, boiling water.

Beat together eggs, cut butter, salt and pepper until the whites and yolks are completely combined. Pour the eggs into the double boiler and stir with a wooden spoon as the butter melts. Continue stirring, scraping the bottom and sides of the pan, until the eggs have thickened into soft, creamy curds, 10 to 15 minutes. Serve immediately. Servings: 2

You put one half inch of water in a pan. Add eggs. Any number as long as they fit in one layer. Cover and cook hot enough to boil that water. For exactly six minutes.

It is the steam that cooks them.
I have been cooking them this way and tweaking a bit. I like them to get 6.5 minutes. Your mileage may vary. But they come out good- try it!

Best to use a bottle with some substance (the very thin water-type bottles aren't the best), and check the top to see that it is very smooth. The ones with extra ridges/notches tend to break the yolks as they get sucked in.

Another method uses egg whites, beaten stiff, with the yolks and sugar folded back in, and vanilla extract added. A few spoonfuls are added to a mug, then hot water and rum are added, and it is topped with nutmeg.

This hot Tom and Jerry is an old time drink that is once used by one and all in this country to celebrate Christmas with, and in fact it is once so popular that many people think Christmas is invented only to furnish an excuse for hot Tom and Jerry, although of course this is by no means true. — Damon Runyon, Dancing Dan’s Christmas

Put a little pickling spice between each round of layers. Pour the beet juice in and then top it off with white vinegar. Make sure you shake it a few times after you assemble it and at least twice a day. It takes about 48 hours for the eggs to be ready but I can rarely wait that long. 100. We have a small pan with a clear glass lid and four "measuring cup" like thingies.

They fit into a tray in the pan. You fill the pan with water, put the eggs in the "measuring cups", cover it, and bring it to a boil. They come out perfectly every time, but you do need to use tongs or a fork or something to get the cups out - they're screaming hot.

111. Hey, Dubya's limo got egged both times he headed for the White House.

He's the only president (appointed, mind you) who didn't walk at least part of the way. Barack and Michelle both got out of the limo, as did Biden. Dubya was too afraid and for good reason. To the best of my knowledge, Dubya's also the only president to get eggs thrown at him.

A restaurant in my town makes what is basically a hard boiled egg encased in sausage.

So basically a health food.

I prefer my version of French Toast.
Spicy, not sweet, with either bacon, ham or prosciutto and some sort of good melty real cheese with black beans and home-fries on the side.

But...if I have to choose only from the options you listed. I'd have to go with scrambled.

113. You ARE allowed to add freshly cracked black pepper and Tabasco to those scrambled eggs.

and more vinegar taste than salt IMHO.
But if I want heat, I'll add hot peppers of some sort.
I'm no stranger to spicy food.
I just prefer my hot sauce to compliment the meal, rather than dominate it.

Like some people just LOVE Sriracha hot sauce.
I don't care for that stuff very much.

122. Yeah, lots of vinegar. Good point. I like Tabasco as "ketchup" and Melinda's as hot sauce.

There's one called Tapatio that I get at the dollar store. It's got a much better flavor than Pete's but it's less expensive.

Some of the Dave's Insanity Sauce incarnations are okay. My wife makes hot sauce from peppers we grow. That's good stuff.

And Chalula too.
Lately I've been getting some locally made hot sauces, and the one that is closest to my ol' standby Texas Pete is a vinegar based habanero sauce that is outstanding.

Too much will ruin a good meal though, lol.

128. Doesn't ring a bell. But then again, I've had at least 100 different hot sauces in my life.

I guess if I'd have had 100 different women I wouldn't remember all of their names either. Perhaps I'm getting senile. I've narrowed it down to Tabasco, Melinda's, and cheap. It just depends on my mood.

In a frypan of course - -
