dig it out and pop it into the stereo... sounds every bit as sparkling, powerful and beautiful as it did the first day I bought it in '86 (or was it '87?) The vocal parts in this song, and in "Under African Skies" never fail to give me goosebumps no matter how many times I listen to them.

Somewhere I've got an (admittedly rough) recording of the Dead working on that tune with Dylan in their old rehearsal space, back in 87 or so.

The Dead were actually pretty damned good at covers... Now that I`m thinking cover songs, I need to dig out my bootleg Tool disc and listen to their cover of Wings` "Silly Love Songs" again..
