I actually screamed, and I swear to God I heard my flesh sizzle. Got my hand under the tap quick but still wound up with a pretty gnarly blistering, peeling burn that took about 3 weeks to fully heal.

I can relate...I burned my palm badly once and shoved it under running water. Every time I removed it, the pain was unbearable. My entire palm and the underside of my fingers was a blister.

I hope you are OK now.

Hey,
Sorry to hear about your pain. I think that it was only he, the burly bouncer who reads Kant in his spare time that is immune to pain.

I hope you feel better, and peace.
