Salmon, this photo really grabbed me....it's something I experience every morning with Georgy the cat and Chiquita the Chihuahua. Georgy sits on the dining room table and cries and Chiquita jumps up and down next to me like Tracy Flick (played by Reese Witherspoon) in "Election." They act like they've never been fed until they are. Then miraculously, everything becomes quiet and peaceful.

So, thank you for that picture and for all the other gems that are getting this week off to a wonderful start. Hope yours is peaceful and utterly enjoyable.

So many images ... some made me giggle and many were awww moments. Estes Hills School gets a gesundheit, the hair club for eagles gets a new member, The pup-dog tellin' us all 'she's mine', the tiny birds perched on fingers, and the hedgehog family photo. However just because I'm a huge Game of Thrones fan the bathroom kitty was the best!

I was rescued by a kitty 19 years ago and she still rescues me every day. The baby bulldog melted my heart. I want one! Thank you once again for lifting our spirits. I listened and read along as Will Pitt, and several other Bostonians, kept us all informed on FB as things played out. Just horrible. I had it in my mind that an AWWfest was overdue before any of it happened, but the bombings and the disaster in Texas made it not just something I would soon do, but something that had to be done.

I know, especially after the December incident, what these pics can mean to people, and I was intent on making this Sunday a special one for as many of my DU friends as possible.

My Daisy has been rescuing me for almost a decade. We are both very, very fortunate.
