Heh, I had a dog that could turn a door knob. Had to change to a lever door to keep her inside.

like that cat did. No matter how tall. And I don't those those are puppies, they look like small terriers, probably full grown.

I was wondering how come your dog could open a door knob but not a lever. Seems like the lever would be easier.

not a straight lever, that would be my storm door, but the kind where you grasp the handle and click down with your thumb. [link:[IMG][/IMG]|

I couldn't figure out how they were doing it. One day, I hid in the bushes and spied on them. Jazzie would jump up onto one gate, lean over and grip the latch in her teeth. Once she had a good grip, she lifted it up, meaning she unlocked it. Brittany would wait until the gate was "unlocked" and would jump on it, pushing it open. Once the gate was opened, she ran through and Jazzie soon followed.

Jazzie was the one who could always crash barriers. She once opened a bedroom door, walked across the hall and opened another bedroom door because there was a poodle locked inside she wanted to get know better.

Brittany was very directionally oriented, and once Jazzie figured out how to break down a barrier, Brittany often led the way to whatever trail they wanted to pursue. What a team.

If you want to compare cat to dogs, it's not right to pick a breed of dogs smaller than the cat. Here's a smart dog for you.

Those little terriers don't even qualify as dogs in my book.

Here is another example. I'm not entirely convinced Yorkies are really dogs. Just saying.
