How i would like to spend my life

If I won the lottery

Alone, with lots of cats. And maybe a dog or two.
Listening to music and drinking beer

I know its just a fantasy, but people can dream

I want to keep a job and keep working.
Still, I'd love to change my job in to the Physical Fitness department, so they pay me to work out.

More often than not I get looked down to and disrespected, even though I endanger my life on daily basis.

If I win the lottery, ill be freaking free!! :p how awesome would that be

To me, I feel like I need to work or else feel like crap.

So, I would love to change my job towards physical fitness. Even if it is as a personal trainer. I just don't want to do it now because it doesn't pay as much and I don't have the time to switch.

Winning the lottery allows that freedom. To get paid for becoming fit would be awesome!

I mean, I love Jack LaLanne. Doesn't need to work, just works, and his work is his work out.
It is always great to feel like I have some sort of responsibility towards others.

Which is why I'd love a change one day.

I want to be:

1 - A Physical Trainer - That barely has to work
2 - A Massage Therapist - That barely has to work
3 - A Park Ranger! - That barely has to work and has the internet

I think that would be so awesome. I'd bring my ukulele and jam!

Was joyous when we married and didnt have to work anymore, she likes the doing her own thing and vacations when she wants etc. Me i need the structure and achieving stuff, i even work my ass off on my days off. My ideal would be to buy an island and become a tyrant so i could run the the whole kingdom kinda like a realistic age of empires.

Doesn't seem like that long.
6 months after I retired I was involved in so many things that I wanted to do, that I wondered how I'd had time to work before.
You find causes you care about.
Places where you can volunteer that really make you feel good about what you're doing.
More than any paycheck ever did.

I used to volunteer on weekends to the German Shepherd rescue till my saturday mornings got taken away by work.

Which is what I mean. I'd love to shift to something like that, but I need to be working.

and saw a 14 acre estate for sale - $1.4m. On a hilltop, 3 bedrooms, 4 baths, stone fireplace, chef's kitchen.

I wouldn't have any pets though. I would open my own needlework shop. Do a bunch of traveling.

If I'm traveling, it's not fair to the dog. I would feel bad about having someone else care for him.

My life wouldn't be empty. I have my husband.

edit to add - The local food pantry would get a huge chunk of money put into trust for them.

As the owner had had enough of renting it out and the issues with tenants, gave her the keys and set up the contractor who is going to take the house down. She has always hated the house as for some reason she thought it blighted the view, i dont even notice it but it drove her nuts.

there's bands I haven't seen live yet. Some never tour out of Europe and I wanna see as many as I can fit in before dirt nap.

One concession to age is I stay farther away from the pit now. lol

Tom G. Warrior's track on Dave Grohl's Probot record is one of my favorites on that album.

15. I would build a SAFE community for abused women and children
Thu May 9, 2013, 02:09 AM
May 2013

My fantasy and dream is a walled community (something like townhomes or apartments) where women could escape from abusive or dangerous situations. No rent, no bills, no need to pay for anything. Armed guards at the gates and absolutely no men allowed inside other than staff. Someplace they could go where all they would need to do is get out of the house and to a phone. Need clothes for the kids? No problem! Need groceries? No problem! No money in the checking account and you don't dare go to work? No problem! It's all paid for, for as long as it's necessary. Just get to a phone, someone will pick you up, and you will be somewhere SAFE within minutes.

In my dream, I see it as a place that would become an actual community, and I could envision the women surivors there helping each other and the community as a whole -- even after they have moved out and on with their lives.

That's what I would do.

You do if you want to live nicely that way. But there are lots of people barely scraping by who's lives could basically be described as just that.

I got lucky in three things:

1. She is nearsighted
2. She had never met an American before, and I had taken her language in college, so she found me mildly exotic
3. Her boyfriend at the time was an insecure over-jealous jerk who didn't give her space to breathe. I did.

Oh, yeah, and one other thing: she takes care of herself. She was 29 in that pic. She's 60 in this one (less than a year ago):
[IMG][/IMG]

It's been a nice 39 (almost) years. Before I met her, I was fairly well convinced that I was second class goods. She taught me that what matters is what she thought, not what all the girls and women I met before her thought.
