If you ask them directly, and also look up Haiku Fans Sdn Bhd, the Haiku fans are maufactured in Malaysia. Nothing wrong with that, but Big Ass Fan Company on their website try to hide this fact from their customers, and just mention all this hoo ha about how special they are and that the technology is American and German, without mentioning where they are actually manufacturing these fans. Maybe they are trying to justify their incredibly high price, even though their manufacturing costs may not justify this.

I too think that the Haiku fan is an excellent product, but have no trust in the Big Ass Fan company as they have jacked up the price incredibly in the past 1 to 2 years.

They are also ridiculously expensive - almost $1200 list! But so neat and would fit our style so nicely.

But my husband didn't want any ceiling fans inside where he walks. He was used to the old house with 7 foot ceilings and a fan was too low for him to feel comfortable. This house has 9 foot ceilings and I would love to have ceiling fans in some of the rooms.

We have a ceiling fan in the bedroom and on the porches - all of which came from Ferguson and were on clearance when I bought them. In fact, most of the fittings in this house were discounted one way or another - my favorite way to shop.

Most are lower.

I'm very glad I put the fans in...but I was so out of money...couldn't afford the fun/funky
had to go with best price.
