(53,339 posts)The store mushrooms aren't bad, so I use the white or brown ones for a great side dish.
The portobellos are a very rare treat. When they're grilled, it's like having steak.

(10,129 posts)My friend who`s been mushrooming for about 40 years out here has never found any in this part of the state, but we`ve had lots of luck with chanterelles, lobsters, shaggy parasols, matsutakes, deceivers etc.. Supposedly there are some hot morel spots around here, just have to do a little research I think.
