To all the dogs I've loved before. & I guess/hope my last will be a poodle.

When I was 4 yrs old my parents gave me at Xmas a puppy Cocker Spaniel with a HUGH!1 red bow. She lasted 13 yrs.

Then when I ejected from the Navy I bought from the newspaper a Cocker for $25 and he lasted ten yrs and I eventually (had to) put him to sleep and I still weep for him, named Hotspur for SHAKESPEARE Henry IV Parts 1 & 2.

Cockers are fantastically smart and loveable and loving beings, they love to PLAY ball with tennis balls, and spaniels are WATER DOGS, and they will follow the ball INTO the water!!!!!!!!! And I still weep.

Then I had two Lapsa Apsos, Bandit and Molly, and one of their offspring.

And now I'm so old I can't handle big or mid size, so these are what it is, but I want the SMARTEST poodle to finish me off.

I rescued her from the pound. She was about 12 lbs. in the winter and 9 lbs in the summer. She stood about 14" high and about 10" long. She was an apricot poodle.

The smartest dog, a great companion, I miss her.
