I met her in college.
Only child from a wealthy family.

It was at some fraternity-sorority 'mixer'.
She was attractive. Not exactly 'pretty' (whatever that meant) but more handsome and stately.
Striking and just...interesting looking.
She reeked of CLASS.

She was standing alone on one side of the room.
I asked her if I could get her a drink and introduced myself.
And she said "Hi, I'd love one. My name is Sue Whitted...rhymes with shitted."
Properly brought up young southern women didn't talk like that back in the 60s.
I was bowled over.
And I was in love.

We paired up for the evening and I offered to walk her back to the sorority house.
"I have a car. Why don't you drive me back and keep the car here?"
"Here?"
"Yeah, I have to park blocks from the house and you guys have a big parking lot."
"Uh...OK."

And then she handed me the keys and we walked out to the parking lot.
Brand new '64 T-Bird.

HO-LEE SHIT!

We had about a 3 month fling and parted friends.
I still wonder what happened to her.
