Whatever happened to backscratchers??

Are we evolving to have less itchy backs??

I remember going to my grandparents house as a kid and my friend's grandparents houses and they all had backscratchers and now I don't think I've seen one at all in like 25 years.

but I don't see anyone buying them.

Maybe, just maybe, our grandparents didn't use them for scratching their backs...

because I broke my three-sided drafting ruler that I had been using:

So I found this terrific bamboo back scratcher at DollarTree:

They are GREAT for use when taming less-than social kitties! We use them all the time in our rescue. Petting from a distance.

an extra back up in case we can't find the others, LOL.

Best two I bought were in a trinket/souvenir place in Ocean City, MD.

The other three I bought on Amazon. The wood isn't as sturdy and they don't 'scratch'
as well.

TMI?

I seem to have an itch in the same spot on my back and the brush does the trick.
