lauding a girl for playing another Van Halen song:

".. if you look around, you'll find a lot of kids like this. They should all be encouraged, not just the one featured on a Yahoo blog. There's probably a kid in your town spending all of his or her free time to learn to play as well as possible, and they need support too.

If we single out one person as an extraordinary "talent" (when it's really just love, patience, and determination), I'm afraid we miss seeing the greater need to support so many young people in the arts. Schools need art and music programs. Maybe there's a local youth symphony or jazz orchestra that could use support. There also need to be places for kids to form their own groups and perform; community centers, VFW halls, churches, park clubhouses, local coffee shops, or whatever.

So, give it up for this girl, but don't forget that there are girls just like her in your town, and while some moral support and encouragement is nice, there are other kinds of support that are even more important."
