~$1000.00 a night, not that I'm surprised looking at the photo.

I stayed there a couple of times many years ago (when room rates were in the 30's).

My hotel on the beach was great--a place called The Beachcomber. I met snowbirds from Canada who'd been coming there annually for 20 years and more.

A travel site shows their rates today starting at $107.

But you'll have to bring your own swing.

I even know where The Beachcomber is.
Too bad we weren't there at the same time. That would have been very cool.

I was there in the early '80s. The rooms were a tad old and a bit dingy, but the staff was fantastic and I got a great haircut from the Italian immigrant presiding over their in-house barbershop.

The only thing that I'd be afraid of is that if you brought YOUR swing, I know it would be XXX-rated.

XXX-rated isn't always the way I play. [img][/img] In fact ... a little secret just between us
... I've never tried an X-rated swing not even once.

A lot of Florida (and seashore towns all the way up the east coast) have that dingy charm.
It's okay unless my shoes stick to the carpet.
