I've seen a number of these before but not all of them, and not all in one place. Some of them are ho hum but others really are treasures to see:

Here are a few that stand for me but I urge you to take a look at the list for yourself:
Samurai taken between 1860 and 1880.
Martin Luther King, Jr removes a burned cross from his yard in 1960. The boy is his son.
Nagasaki, 20 minutes after the atomic bombing in 1945.
Fidel Castro lays a wreath at the Lincoln Memorial.
Archduke Franz Ferdinand with his wife on the day they were assassinated in 1914,
an event that helped spark World War I.
The headquarters of Benito Musolini and the Italian Fascist party taken in Rome in 1930.

(1,941 posts)The next day, Einstein came into the store himself looking for sundials. Or so Rothman thought and he dutifully showed him the one he had in the backyard. Einstein pointed to his feet. He really needed sandals, so Rothman sold him the largest pair he had left: womens size 11. Einstein, whod described himself in a letter to a friend as a kind of ancient figure known primarily for his non-use of socks and wheeled out on special occasions as a curiosity, gladly wore them all summer, along with a pair of shorts tied around his waist with a piece of rope, and a white sports shirt.
