5. Well, I didn't tell you what the prize puzzle was.

You're seriously telling me that "knowing" that ruined your "Wheel" experience?

It would make me more likely to flip the channel to watch it if I knew that was coming up.

7. You watch it to see who wins?

I watch it to try and solve the PUZZLES before the people on the tee vee do....

Who wins is just a sideshow in the Circus of Life Is Unfair.

12. I watch it to see what happens

You blurted out what happened without warning. Why couldn't you say, "wow, wheel of fortune spoiler alert" and then discuss what happened inside the thread? You didn't even discuss it, you just blurted out the result of the show and left for hours.

We don't ruin sporting events or other contested events for other people. Now in the big picture, I don't give a shit about a game show, but next time think before you post. Give other people in other time zones or those who dvr a chance.

I already avoid DU when I'm watching any dvr'ed event. I guess I'll avoid DU any time I watch tv.

Think before you blurt out next time.

13. Well, I most certainly won't do that again! I've been taken to the woodshed, indeed!

Amazing what upsets people on DU....a big winner on Wheel, a photo of a snake...

I am surprised that there are people who multitask during that show, or who would find the prize aspect something that "ruins" it for them. I should think knowing a big winner was coming up would motivate people to watch the show, rather than get annoyed at knowing in advance. A big winner IS unusual, and might draw people who would ordinarily ignore a WoF thread--but only if they knew about it. And they wouldn't know about it with a vague headline, so there's that conundrum.

I always thought the most interesting part of the show was solving the puzzles, not how much money people made. For that reason, I would have thought that the real "spoiler" with regard to that show might have been "the young lady with the too-white teeth" and "TOUGH WORKOUT."

6. I felt bad for my three-bankrupt-brother, actually.

He just could not catch a break. And he solved that months of the year puzzle, damn near, and hit the bankrupt.

That winner caught every damn bit of luck out there.

The red-head lady was in the same boat. The Lady that won had everything handed to her on a silver platter.

If this were the days of Payola I'd wonder if the winner had the answers in advance, and there was a guy underneath that wheel with a stick!

Did you notice the "Brother" and the Red-head kept getting the bankrupt slot at just the right times.
Did you notice when the big winner spun the wheel for the big money...the wheel was spinning fast then slowed down VERY fast...at just the right slot. It usually slows down at an even rate. (I've got it on my recorder)

Of course, I could be blowing smoke up my own ass...but it's fun to think it really could be rigged.

I don't know why I thought she was going to win when she picked that card off the wheel, but I did...~

And when she won, I just said "Day-um!" Pre-ordained...or something~!

It was very odd, because I didn't think she had enough in terms of letters to figure out that puzzle--I never would have gotten it in a million years, and I'm not all that bad in sorting out those things!
