NEW YORK, N.Y. -- Patrick Stewart eats sliced pizza in NYC, May 29, 2013 Stewart is clearing up the mystery of Pizza-Gate 2013. The actor did not actually try pizza for the first time ever on Wednesday in New York City.

The “X-Men” star had fans — and major media outlets — flipping their dough over his Tweet on Tuesday, which read, “My first ever pizza ‘slice’. Please note: the authentic NY fold.” The Tweet accompanied a photo of the 73-year-old actor diving into a slice of NYC pizza.

But, Patrick wants the world to know he has had pizza before, just never pre-cut.\

In fashion befitting a man who has “Sir” before his name, he has only ever eaten pizza with silverwear.
