The DU Lounge
Related: Culture Forums, Support ForumsI kinda need a DU hug.
My buddy Tiger (Tiger buddy zoom zoom) passed this weekend. He got sick, so the vet gave us some antibiotics to give him. That seemed to help for awhile but on friday evening we could see he was failing. Saturday evening he went outside while I was grilling chicken, and one time while I was inside he disappeared. I suspect he went under the house, which is impossible for me to go.

Tiger was a special cat for us in that the house we lived in before we moved here was on a road that over time got busier and busier to the point where having a kitty was out of the question. The house we are in now is off the major roads, in fact a dead end road with four houses on it. When our neighbor found a stray kitten, we decided to try having a kitty again. Tiger had a great life over the past 12 years, with no traffic to deal with.
Today is my first day home alone with no Tiger buddy zoom zoom around. He got the nickname "zoom zoom" because about the time he got to stage when everywhere he went was at a full run, using wall, furniture, the dogs and occasionally the floor, Mazda had started running the zoom zoom adds and it just seemed to fit.
Thanks
Pete

(54,770 posts)When my current cat dies (the thought depresses me), I'm going right out and getting another. They are just too much fun to go without, even if a new one can't really replace a friend like yours.
Good luck.
fortunately we have another kitty and two dogs to hug as needed.

Perhaps he is in a happy place "zoom zooming" all over.
I suspect he is "zoom zooming" with all his buddies past, and with new buds found.

I also understand the emptiness and my heart breaks for you. But you need to remember what a great life you gave him and how very fortunate he was to have found you...

(2,685 posts)your kind words and hugs helped us get through a difficult day. It is still and will be for some time painful, but as I look back at the life and times of Tiger I know he was loved and he loved. He provided us joy and comfort through out the years.
I know he will be waiting just on the other side of the Rainbow bridge with Gus, Leo, Ed and all the fur babies who have enriched our lives over the years.
Thank you once again, and Peace to all.
