2. losing a finger tip doesn't sound too bad till you lose it.

I lost my bass playing finger almost twenty years ago and the phantom feelings never go away .
hope she is okay.

I sliced half way through my thumb when I was 12. I was doing dishes and a glass broke. I looked down at my hand and my thumb was laying in my palm in a pool of blood. I fainted.

I still have the thumb and it looks normal except for a stitches scar but I don't have acute sensation on the outside half of it.

Didn't hurt when I did it, but let anything touch it for months after and it hurt all the way to my shoulder. I can't imagine what people that have to get used to prosthetics go through.
