Question.......

I got an email that was dated yesterday and sent at 5:43 p.m. I read it this morning around 11 a.m. It was an offer for a phone interview for either today or tomorrow.

I replied that tomorrow, July 3 would be fine and the time for the interview was at the writer's discretion as I was free all day. It is now 8:40 EST and I have no reply from the sender. What should I do?

Also what's interesting is that it is not for a job I applied for within this organization. I have found a job description and I do meet the qualifications. I'm not even sure what City this job is located in.

Help!!

I am cross posting in the career help and advice.

I don't really know.... maybe they will just call you tomorrow, so stay near the phone.

I'm kicking in case anyone else can offer you some advice. Good luck, mrmpa!

It's usually a good sign from the employers point of view if you are eager about a position. Just don't make it sound like they made a mistake.

the call came at 1:17 p.m. and the interviewer was not the person whom I had been in contact with. He also did not have a copy of my resume and it's an entry level position (which is all right), but if I'm able to get this position, the salary will be the sticking point. I do know however, that they look at experience in regard to salary & I have 10 years experience.

Sometimes the interview that went spectacularly will end up a big fat zero. Kind of unprofessional of the person not having your resume, though.

I hope it works out for you.
