Not Loverboy though. And the Foreigner I saw was really Fauxregner. The funny thing is I saw Lou Gramm solo and he did nothing but Foreigner songs and sounded more like Foreigner than Fauxregner, who were billed as Foreigner, did. THere were more original Foreigner members (1) in the Lou Gramm show than there were in the Foreigner show. (Mick Jones was in the band but was ill the night we saw them and so didn't perform. A roadie filled in for him.) And when I saw Lou Gramm, the opening act was Survivor.

At least when I Saw Kansas it was real Kansas. Kansas and Heart - double headline show - good stuff.

I didn't mind so much as I never liked Journey much anyway but I liked seeing Neal Schon play guitar.

and I acknowledge they had some pretty catchy tunes but I was only ever interested in them as far as that girls liked them. And once I got married I didn't need that any more lol.

I was told a few times I looked like Steve. I was not averse to using that passing resemblance to get to know young ladies who seemed interested in that sort of thing. Of course, it fell apart if they wanted me to sing too.

I still wear a necklace that my Mother bought for me when I was 21. It is the same musical note that Steve wore (hopefully still wears).

this is me about 32 years and 100 pounds ago on the right

I think it was the hair though mostly - when I was told I looked like Steve Perry I had longer hair and parted in the middle like everyone else in the 80s...don't have any pics from then digitized yet

I didn't get it either but I did have hair like his for a while. My little brother stole those boots but that's OK. I got a neat pair pf peanut brittle colored Lucchese ostrich boots now.

thanks! I like his work with Jan Hammer too. I had one of their albums but I haven't seen it in forever. Guess I need to make trip down to the used record store.

Don't get me started on the cheezy lyrics. "I'm not an animal or machine... just something in between"
