Related: Culture Forums, Support ForumsThank God. They re-signed the contract. I'm staying with the homeless clinic!
The local municiple development organization that owns the clinic where I work was considering not re-signing the medical contract with the community health organization that employs me. They wanted to hire their own provider and run the cllinic themselves.
That would have put me in the awkward position of resigning from my company in order to keep working with my homeless patients, or else staying with the company, and losing my patients.
I think a lot of people in the Lounge know how I feel about my homeless patients. I didn't want to lose them.
Now I won't have to. The municiple group re-signed the medical-care contract.

They have a hard row to hoe, but I hope I can give them the care they need.
