Chicken feet

Responses in a GD thread surprised me. I'm so used to making stock with chickens' feet I didn't realize a lot of people have never seen them in grocery stores. Maybe I just live in a highly Asian and Latin neighborhood?

a pack of chicken feet and a pack of chicken necks, plus any bones I have left over from the last time I cooked chicken, if it was recent enough.

There was a GD post about a woman who freaked out over finding a foot in a pack of chicken breasts. I would have thought "cool, free chicken foot". Unless it was being sold by weight, in which case that is a rip-off.

Not my favorite thing, but ah well.

I play with gizzards more, as well as the heart.

It's a small minority of cultures worldwide that don't cook with them.

I don't eat much meat anymore, but I'd use chicken feet in various stews. My wife has stopped eating any meat. But we can't claim to be any sort of vegetarians because we have dogs. There are many sorts of animal parts in dog food.

This was years ago when I was a kid. Damn thing was right there in the middle of the bowl and I could've sworn it was twitching at me. Freaked me out a bit, but I was raised to finish the food put in front of me, so I ate it. Was pretty good IMSMC.
