lol, never thought in a million years I'd move from a 97530 to a 60030 and be so close to that 60609! Chicago might as well been a foreign country to this Southern Oregon foothills gal.

My fond memories were back in the fifties with KPIX's Captain Fortune and, well, of course The Wonderful World of Brother Buzz.

Film of Captain Fortune Swagger down the gangplank of the Balclutha, catches a cable car, hangs on the outside with one arm with his ditty bag over his shoulder, up the hill, hops off the moving cable car in front of the station on Van Ness (creative license), runs inside...cut to the live show inside! Magic!

And too long ago for such an ad to appear in the TV Guide or anywhere else. It was just ON when Grandma said it was on, and how she knew I will never know.

a kids show called ironically BIG BROTHER with Bob Emery in Rhode island they had Major Mudd . great local stuff and now there are only outsourced cartoons .

I loved watching it before the movie....in Vancouver we had US channels as part of basic cable. Yay!
