Sorry you don't get real candy.

(22,051 posts)Ok not really. It can get frustrating though. I just conquered level 147 today after being stuck for a month. I'm hovering on 150 now.

(12,132 posts)I don't know how you got that far! I hate the bomb levels so much I will probably quit and go back to Angry Birds. At least with AB you can keep trying a level as much as you want. Those stupid bombs are hateful.

(43,850 posts)Bombs?

(12,132 posts)sapped all the fun right out of the game.

(43,850 posts)I have to admit, though, when I beat a level these days I want to beat my chest like King Kong and drag somebody off by the hair.
I've never been addicted before. I'm totally it's bitch.

(12,132 posts)with 1 being "no biggie" and 10 being "REALLY REALLY bad"
how bad is it that my first thought upon reading this post was "Hmmmm...I have long, draggable hair..."?

(22,051 posts)I hate the bombs and the multiplying chocolates. Getting as far as I have has just taken a lot of time and patience. I've given up several times for weeks at a time.
RavensChick
(3,123 posts)I've been at Level 65 for over 2 weeks now. It's clearing the jelly (and that damn chocolate popping up) I hate the most. Thankfully some of my FB friends have been giving me life lines so it extends the agony.
sammytko
(2,480 posts)It was fun and now its not. I go days without playing and then feel guilty about all the people that have been sucked into it because of me.

(43,850 posts)I take great pride in never having paid them a cent, nor will I. That is the real game here.

(5,946 posts)never be stuck.

(2,480 posts)I had to line up two of the multi colored speckled chocolate bomb candies, and smash them together. The ones you make by lining up five of the same candies in a row.
I think after a while the game just lets you win.

(6,154 posts)Whoever created this game nailed it. There's very little new about it actually. There have been tons of collect the like coloured item / form a row type games over the years, see Tetris, Bejewelled, Hexic etc... But they really nailed the perfect combination of art direction, difficulty, and addictiveness with this one. They give you just enough to hook you then throw in a particularly hard level or straight out ask you to pay 99 cents or something. And like I said the art direction is just the right combination of bright colours, sounds and cuteness.
License to print money.
I'm only on level 37 or so, I'm trying to resist paying the 99 cents to unlock the next world.
OriginalGeek
(12,132 posts)haven't paid a cent...i never do for these things...not even Angry Birds and I love that game...but this one has pissed me off with the bombs. If you beg enough friends you can move on without money - lol, my wife has about 5 different gaming profiles on FB so she can give me all the tickets I need to go to the next level...
Locut0s
(6,154 posts)And I've even helped them move on lol. But anyway not important.

(5,946 posts)like you can friend my dog if you want, she plays all the games so I don't anger my family. heh. Of course during the month of August (soon) , won't be playing since I have company,.
Pet rescue is a better game, but I am way beyond all my friends, (or rather the dog is. ) I have to wait for them to add new levels and no one has played them yet on youtube so I can see how to solve them, a bit of a challenge. Makes you use logic to figure it pout though.
RavensChick
(3,123 posts)The last time I played was over a month ago and I'm at level 47. I get frustrated after 2 rounds so I give up and go to Farm Heroes. That one is a little better but the lives run out too quick for me. So I play Bingo instead, which is way better and I'm not as bored.
Please post the YouTube link on how to solve for Pet Rescue when it comes out. Thanks!
hollysmom
(5,946 posts)there are ones for most of the games by level.
I am more frustrated by farm heroes - you can't always solve them without help. I can almost always solve pet rescue without looking it up or using tools, but tools makes it go faster - 3000 coins to break a few bricks, so n o real cash is used. There was one level in the hundreds I could not believe you could solve, so looked it up after a month, but now, I pretty much know most of the tricks.
eta, I must be very patient, sometimes it takes me a few tries a day and several days to get on level, but it is the challenge of thinking it out that i enjoy.

(4,465 posts)I play the free one at king.com, I am so addicted. I'd seen the commercials for it over and over again and that damn song they play was stuck in my head, so I looked it up.
Big mistake. I am hooked.
A Simple Game
(9,214 posts)time on your phone by a half hour and fool the game into giving lives sooner. Don't know for sure, don't have a phone or play the game.
Probably would work on a PC also.
alan_phillips
(46 posts)otherwise, they would lose a lot of money from people doing this
Mr. David
(535 posts)The hack works on rooted Android phones... and it does sync with Facebook in terms of level. I think I'm around 230, and started using the hack about three weeks ago. My wife is almost done with the game via that hack.

(28,749 posts)This game makes a TON of money from in-app purchases and that scares me. It has actually got a few people addicted who I would have NEVER expected it from.
I like my money... I know greed kills. The only kind of candy ill spend money on is real candy.
RavensChick
(3,123 posts)I only play Candy Crush and the other games on my PC and that's all. Besides, my smart phone is low on space so eventually I'll have to upgrade.

OMG level 153?!? I'm on level 63 and thought I was spiraling down.
I think it's 633,000 a week. No I have not paid.
I posted on FB "Why did I start Candy Crush? It's like trying something 'cause you heard it was so addicting".
Let them know it's fun to play while watching TV. FUN because they mix it up a bit and it takes some strategy.
BTW, I didn't even know they had bomb levels. Rut-roh!
