This was the hearse that carried my grandma

I thought it was a nice touch. A 1931 Model A Ford and a carriage (which doesn't show very well in the picture).

I don't know how the funeral directors stayed so cool. I'm sure that car doesn't have air conditioning and we drove a long way to the cemetery. August in Alabama, so you can imagine what that was like.
