(72,515 posts)what is likely a stereotype of Canadians: polite, thoughtful, unobtrusive drivers.
I'm guessing that's not the case?

(72,515 posts)If most of your Canadian driving experiences have been in my neck of the woods, then yes, I can see why you'd think we're all polite. Shift one province over and you'll find Dumbass Central. Too many overcompensation trucks piloted by rednecks and yahoos.

Anyway, yeah, my only experience driving in Canada has been in Victoria and Vancouver, and drivers there are mostly sane.
My brother and I visited Toronto last year, but he did the driving, so I don't know how things are there.

Kick in to the DU tip jar?
This week we're running a special pop-up mini fund drive. From Monday through Friday we're going ad-free for all registered members, and we're asking you to kick in to the DU tip jar to support the site and keep us financially healthy.
As a bonus, making a contribution will allow you to leave kudos for another DU member, and at the end of the week we'll recognize the DUers who you think make this community great.
