Crafters/jewelers: Fair trade/ethically sourced/eco-friendly semi-precious stones?

I'd like to buy semi-precious stones for some work - wholesale - but have no resources as to where to buy fair trade stones.

I see some info on beads, but not a lot on stones, semi precious or precious.

Also interested in sourcing recycled gold and silver for jewelry findings....

I just attended a gem show - some beautiful items, but very few booth operators had a clue about where / how their materials were sourced. Sigh.

Thanks for any input and suggestions.

I can find beautiful stones -- it's just not easy to find stones that haven't been extracted under horrible human/environmental conditions...

I'll check eBay ... hadn't thought of them. Thanks, TA

Jewelry with colored gem stones will be the best fit to your requirements. These jewelries are also made in a Eco friendly way using the recycled materials and reused products but you have to be sure whether you are buying the product from Eco friendly jewelry supplier.

Finding a Eco friendly jewelry supplier is not easy. Most often these kinds of supplies are made in wholesale. You can catch these wholesalers only through a proper connection.

I found a Eco friendly jewelry wholesaler, his site http://www.cangles.com/servlet/the-Girls-Jewelry/Categories gives information about different Eco friendly jewelries available in the market.
