My aunt is very sick right now. She is in hospital and on morphine. Thankfully she is at peace

and feels she has been very lucky in life. She and her husband were so great to me when I was so shy and at university. I did not know them very well but was ushered into a house full of love and life. Sending all my vibes to Nova Scotia and asking for you to join me.

2. She was so active in life until this last year. She sugared off (made maple syrup) right up until

last year. I'm happy for that.

5. She was. She was the first occupational therapist in NS. Stayed involved in the country

community where she and my mom were born until the now. She brought the best values of rural life to the city.

8. My sister flew down there yesterday. She is surrounded by friends. My mom seems okay. I don't

know how much of it she is conscious of as she has dementia.

11. I have been through this before and the Morphine keeps tpeople comfortable.

They will make sure she is without pain.

12. My favorite aunt died in June.

My mother died five years ago. My dad is the last of his generation in our family. My father says old age isn't for sissies. My mother too had dementia the last years of her life. The good thing about the dementia is that it took away her arthritic pain. The bad thing is that it eventually took her from us.

My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. I promise, things eventually get better.

My grandfather died last year and my grandmother has dementia. It's been a terribly rough year on my mother.
