so I'm going to need a new handle..help me out here

backwoodsbob is moving in June !!!!!!

Transferring to About ten miles from the beach in South Carolina...absolutely beautiful part of the country.

My company has a plant there and they already approved the transfer and the wifes company (verison wireless)agreed to transfer her too.

We will live in summersville..a snowbird enclave from what I have seen that is..at worst..a moderate enclave.

ONLY PROBLEM..I won't be backwoodsbob any more.

Need ideas for a new handle

On edit: and of course...being 45 miles from Myrtle Beach and right on the ocean...DU'ers are welcome to crash...for the right amount of beer tribute

Edit 2: I'm thinking beachbumbob

There ya go: BeerBribesBob

Or LowCountryBob - I think all that area is considered the Low country but I could be wrong - only visited once...to Charleston. Had a cousin that lived in Savannah and I highly recommend you visit there if you're into that old-timey town/architecture thing (after you get settled in, of course). Lots of good beer there, too!

Although to me, you will be "MakesGoCubsGoJealousBob". Dang! As much as I bitch about this state, there ain't no place like the Low Country, especially right near the coast. It doesn't get much better!

Just because you take the Bob out of the back woods doesn't mean you can take the backwoods out of the Bob.

OK.

Maybe we could swap weekend house guest privileges sometime.

Or meet in Charleston.

I've wanted to eat here http://www.huskrestaurant.com/sean-brock-2/ since I first heard about it a few weeks back.

... but can you really take the "back woods" out of Bob?

If I'm in the neighborhood, I'll bring a pitcher of Margueritas. Made from 'shine, of course!

(this from a yankee, formerly known as Just A Bozo From Georgia)

Congratulations on what sounds like a good move!

My first teaching job was a few miles east of Summerville (a long time ago). You will love it. If you don't have a canoe, you have to get one!

we went through downtown...150 year old buildings packed tight with thriving businesses in every building.

There is an actual working mom and pop corner grocer on each end and people were actually walking from their houses to the grocer.
Kids were OUTSIDE playing and sitting on the benches talking and stuff downtown.

It's like a little slice of heaven just for me
