but when I was in college the girls downstairs hid alarm clocks in our dorm room set for 4am. So my roommate and I put a vacuum cleaner under their bed and plugged it into a timer plugged into an electric outlet. Of course they came upstairs and woke us up, but we didn't mind.

(That sounds like the start of a Penthouse Forum story. Unfortunately, it was not to be.)
