nearly 13 hours in the car and we're here

i suffered only one ass cramp and one near accident (damn maniac from idaho almost clipped the front end of the truck trying to squeeze behind a semi and in front of me).

hit at least six separate stretches of road construction on the trip from co to il, i swear they're still doing the same work on 80 they were doing ten damn years ago.

but it's good to see my mom, we're going to have fun while we're out here.

everyone else is asleep and i'm hitting my second wind.

edit: the most awesome part was stopping at iowa 80, the world's largest truck stop, for a breaded pork tenderloin sandwich and some fried cauliflower. maybe it's the three cups of coffee i had with dinner that's keeping me up.
