I am not surprised that you figured this out!
I wonder if my broken HTML post title will override your broken HTML thread title for replies to this post.

(53,339 posts)Maybe you or Make7 will explain this to us poor schleps at some point.

(53,339 posts)I already don't know where the hell I am or how I got here.
Weird, when I go to reply to myself or to any other reply, like yours, all the letters turn purple and the window closes.
Only if I keep the mouse button down while I type and then quickly hit the post button can I reply.
So I have to come back and use edit.
What a pain.
Still, nobody else can get in!!!!
YAY!

(29,148 posts)Well, in mine it didn't close a window, just reloaded the original thread. So I hit the "back page" command and was then able to use the tabs to highlight the reply title and then type my title and message. So maybe you can try using the tab key rather than the mouse and see if it works for you.
On edit: D'oh! I see now you've already talked about a similar solution downthread

(49,445 posts)I wrote that in WordPad, then right-click/paste in the subject line.
After I looked at the source code to find the URL.
I was squatting on your profile, hoping your "most recent" would come back to this thread, but it didn't.

I have no idea why it behaves that way.

(68,644 posts)last night, that is. this morning drove to see a lot near the ocean.
It's in the Santa Cruz area pretty close to the ocean and cheap, but steep.
I may make an offer on it.
Now I'm home.

(68,644 posts)It's a pretty steep slope, up to 50% grade, but not unbuildable.
I don't have a need for many SF, more storage, less for living, and this abuts open space in two directions so not much worry about someone coming along building right next to me.
Tuesday Afternoon
(56,912 posts)for a steep grade ... like that. I had my eye on piece of a mountain side for a long time.

(101,263 posts)The entire copy of the OP, and the reply fields (reply title, and message text) are hyperlinks to the OP. If you click on them to start typing in them, it reloads the whole thread instead. You have to to the whole thing using the tab key to cycle through the fields and buttons. On Windows 7/Firefox, anyway.
