I keep getting redirected to my journal at the first keystroke in the subject line.

Maybe I need to turn scripts off or something.

I don't do the coding--I rely strictly on navigation, Grasshopper.

9. I did exactly as you said, clicked on his profile, went to last post, tried to reply, got journal

sigh

eta: I've tried the source code, tried inputting a different URL to reply to...I'm stumped.

I use Opera 17.0.1246.0

10. Look at the page source

Search for make7, and take the number of his post from the href url. Then go to any other post, and replace the post ID with the one from the page source.

That takes me here, but I still couldn't reply.

1- Copy URL down to notecard, which is: http://www.democraticunderground.com/1018469361

2- Change that URL to this:

http://www.democraticunderground.com/?com=post&forum=1018&pid=469361

3- Input into address bar

I wasn't able to type directly into the subject line of my reply, next mystery to solve.

18. I was planning on just letting this thread sink, that's why I have no replies (until now).

The main reason I haven't self-deleted is that I wanted to leave it up so the Admins could see the potential problem(s) with this bug in thread/reply titles hopefully to prompt them to fix it quickly rather than just putting it on the to do list.

I know it has been alerted on by someone (I also alerted on it myself as well) but the squeaky wheel gets the grease. Hell, maybe everyone that reads this should alert on it - or ask about it in ATA. Just tell them to click the thread title in the Lounge thread listings. I pointed them to threads sorted by author (just scroll down to the one started by that Make7 character).

Although I guess keeping the thread kicked is bound to lead to more complaints to the Admins - so I guess that accomplishes the same thing.
