The most brutal ass-kicking in any James Bond movie

Without question, it's the merciless pummelling that Bond inflicts upon that tarantula in Dr. No. After throwing it onto the floor, he grabs his shoe and blasts the poor arachnid six or seven times, with blows that would knock Jaws' stainless steel teeth right out of his mouth.

Who knew that Bond was such a spider-hater?

IAE, it was a larger insect, and more venomous. Arachnophobia is a fear many humans have, but IIRC many breeds of tarantula are not even poisonous.

...I mean, they get to eat a beautiful red-haired villainess, *and* Blofeld's bodyguard...I wince a lot more when I see that than I do the spider...
