"Raw Power" by Iggy Pop and the Stooges set a bar that has not been surpassed

In terms of raw angst

Raw anger, discontent, pure screaming at the walls, all out display of great righteous rage....


No one has topped this.

Nobody.

Not Pearl Jam, whom I love

Not Screaming Trees, whom I love even more

Not Eminem or anyone current

Nobody

You can't beat the swagger of "Penetration" or "Gimmie Danger"

You can't replace the all out anarchy of "Your Pretty Face is Going to Hell" or "Shake Appeal"

Simply put, this album set a mark by which nobody has ever achieved greater...

1. I just saw an ad today that Iggy And The Stooges are headlining the C2SV Festival In San Jose.

Iggy and the Stooges will perform at this year's C2SV Technology Conference & Music Festival, previously known as the Silicon Valley Sound Experience, on September 28th in San Jose, Calif. The band will play at St. James Park. More information and tickets can be found at C2SV.com.
