four years ago i put on my wedding dress
and prepared to marry my wonderful man. a couple bloody marys calmed my nerves and my hangover (we raged it after the rehearsal dinner) and the day went off without a hitch. it hasn't been all sunshine and roses, but we survived the bullshit and are stronger for it.
he proposed to me in the ihop parking lot at 2 am after only six weeks of dating and i have never once regretted saying yes.
we're having fancy dress up dinner tonight to celebrate, i've been drooling over the menu for days now and am so excited.
i am a lucky woman.

We eloped.
It was a small wedding.
I had hair.
During the Episcopal ceremony I dropped the prayer book, or whatever that was.
I was monumentally hungover.
Just magnificently hungover.
I thought I was going to pass out when I bent down to pick it up.
I just kept thinking "Don't pass out. Don't pass out. Don't pass out."
