Wooly Worm Report

I got curious after reading that we are going to have a long, cold, snowy winter according to the, Old Farmers Almanac. And the Wooly Worm Report was brought into question. What the heck is it. I went in search of. And this is what I found. I hope my link works. I'm piss poor at bringing stuff in that plays right.

But the blue jays and the acorn woodpeckers are harvesting acorns like crazy around here, which indicates a long cold winter to me.

They're really a nuisance since their favorite stash places are usually one's house.

Start bringing in supplies. We have had a run of mild winters except for last year which had a long number of days with snow on the ground.

If they drop another damn green pinecone on my deck, I'm heading to Virginia to get an AR14 (or whatever). Who knew that tree had so many cones.

Let that be a lesson to you: be careful where you plant those cute little living Christmas trees. This one is now 30' high and squirrel heaven. (Not planted by me, by the way.)
