Well, I'm going home today!!! They wanted to send me home yesterday, but I pushed back hard because I hadn't
built up any strength in my legs and I was REALLY wobbly and weak when I walked -- so I was truly worried about
falling over.

How do you know that you're getting old?

The first time you worry about breaking a hip!!!

I've been through this several times and I KNOW my body and the process, I was 90% sure that I just needed one
more day of short walks in the hallway... and sure enough, that's what it took. I have my confidence and comfort
level back.

My biggest concern right now is what I'm going to fix for dinner. Whatever it is, I'm definitely going to have a Caprese
salad with it

I won every bar contest I entered (partly due to cool special effects) until
I got here to Tucson... which made me decide to hang it up (so to speak)

One year, this woman was so impressed that every time I walked into the
bar after Halloween, she would immediately SHOUT, "IT'S THE BIG DICK!!!"

As I made my way to a barstool, I would humbly (and unpretentiously)
acknowledge her accolade by waving to the crowd as if I were British royalty.

I was inspired after I took a college course called "Teaching Art to Children" and
I was re-introduced to paper-mache.

The "big dick" part was all my idea.

That probably comes as a shock to many of you.

7. I fully understand. Halloween is a time for us to compensate for our shortcomings.

One Halloween I dressed up in skates and Kiss face. I think I would have pulled it off if I knew how to skate.
