They hurt anytime you do something. And if you put a bandaid on it, the damn bandaid gets wet anytime you wash your hands, so you have to change it. Though, I would suggest you put a bandaid on your thumb, after you extract the splinter, it will help cushion the injury as you can't seem to stop texting. Now go get a tweezer, splinters can get infected if left in.

Maybe just a piece of tape after you remove the splinter. Again, my sympathies.
