(21,925 posts)The first one is from Dream Of A Witches Sabbath by Hector Berlioz (Symphonie Fantastique) and the second is from the Sorceror's Apprentice by Paul Dukas. Mussorgsky's Night On Bald Mountain might make a good Halloween theme and I like this one, too; Dance Of The Knights by Prokofiev.

(3,709 posts)especially the note cards. They have come in handy when I needed to send a more serious or personal note.
Such beautiful artwork, and so whimsical. I can't wait for the
Advent Calendar to come out. Each year my girlfriends, one in Paris, one in Glasgow, and one in Portland alternate getting the calendars for each other. Although we are far apart and rarely see each other, only chatting on the phone and email, during the holidays we all do the same thing each morning and open our calendar.

(3,709 posts)while I have a couple of girlfriends here in Lexington that I treasure and adore, I couldn't live without these three special women.
My friend in Paris is actually from Glasgow as well, but remains in Paris because her children were born there and are decidedly French.
The funny thing, what I have gained from knowing these women besides their friendship is the knowledge that we are all the same. They worry about their families, paying the bills, yell at cable companies, and enjoy life when they can and endure it when we have to keep on, just like me. Makes the world just a bit smaller.
