when I am reading in bed. She will come close, meow loudly, nudge the book with her nose to one side, then stand on my chest until I scratch her around her neck until she is satisfied.

Yes they can be insistent, but in the end, is there anything better than curling up with a beloved pet when the world has decided to kick sand into your face one too many times?

vomit on the bed and leave a dead rat on the doorstep? Because 'the world' does that to me far to often.
But my loving kitty always knows when I need a snuggle...
