It's "Homecoming Hair Day..."

For the past decade (since WannaBeGrumpy began high school) I've been doing updo's for family and friends.

This year, it's my niece. BabyG opted for "No-Coming" this year, thanks to drama issues with his girlfriend(s)--in other words, he's a bit of a flirt.

I always happily agree, dread the idea on the day it arrives, enjoy the time spent with these beautiful young women I'm so lucky to be a part of the lives of, and then crash into bed early...with hairspray encrusted hands...

1. Awww, that's sweet.

My niece had hers last weekend. She lives out of state but sent pictures and looked beautiful. She did her hair herself by using her curling iron and wearing it down with loose curls.

2. We did half up, half down...

She wasn't sure what she wanted to do. I got inspiration from a picture I have of her as a little one...with these gorgeous natural ringlets that have since become straight. I interspersed the curls with some braids to kick it up a little.

They grow up so fast, but I love spending time with this gorgeous girl. Her hair is so easy to work with, even though she has a lot of it.
