Apparently a 50" Phillips LED TV (in the box) does NOT fit in the backseat of my car

Thanks for all the advise here:
http://www.democraticunderground.com/1018509256

Me and guy from BJ's finally got it into the backseat but the doors wouldn't close. Twist, turn, raise, lower the back windows, raise, twist, etc. The driver's side backdoor was 2-5" from closing. BUNGEE CORDS!! Yes I had an orange bungee cord hooked outside the window. Front seats are all the way up - can't lean or move them back. I get in the car knees wedged up into the dashboard, forehead crammed up into the sun visor, turned 60 degrees so my right foot could move enough to operate the pedals, hazards on, AND my left had back over the seat to hold the backseat door - driving and signaling one handed. Made it. 2 miles - 11 turns (kept catching lights) - 4 stoplights and 3 stop signs. TV up and running (marriage intact), secured to the wall, with Monsters University on. Football in 9 minutes.

This was $563 with tax which is almost double what I paid for my first car. I was overly careful.

and don't get into an accident, works for me. I don't think I ever took a TV home in the box lately. Towels help as well, and don't take the dog with you. I think having the AMEX card which guarantees to replace it if it is damaged helps.

You could damage them just hauling them home in anything much short of upright (like the way they'd be set up to watch them).

We have a 32", but our apartment is small (as are most here in Korea as real estate prices are high). When we can afford a larger place I think we'll buy a bigger TV and use this one as our second one.

You should also be able to hook computers and DVD players via an HDMI slot and on the side there is probably one or two USB ports which come in handy for showing pictures.

back of the SUV before I got mine.

I was pissed at the time, why do you think we have a big ass car, it's not just so we can schlep the kids around and support the Saudi oil-state dammit?

Glad she did it wouldn't fit and I didn't have the proper tie downs on hand to put it on the top.
