K-pop group Girls' Generation beats Miley, Lady Gaga at first YouTube awards

(CNN) -- The South Korean girls group Girls' Generation beat the likes of Miley Cyrus, Justin Bieber, Lady Gaga and its compatriot Psy to win the top award for video of the year at the inaugural YouTube Music Awards.

Girls Generation had some really good songs in the past - "Into the New World" and "Gee" for instance - but their songs of late have sucked. That's why I'm sort of surprised they won this. T-ara OTOH are consistently good.

Even after living in Korea for 10 years, but anything is better than Miley "the trainwreck" Cyrus and Psy "the racist"

10. WELL OF COURSE!! Kpop is HUGE now in the States...

I like some of it, and Love BoA Kwon, but ... I will always be loyal to JPOP, JROCK and Visuel Kei.
