I nearly fell off my chair, according to law guns can be taken into a library because the state must rule that it cannot be done. Children visit libraries, what in the hell is the matter with gun owners that this is permitted?

(68,644 posts)Not to argue, but I don't share your concern.
I'm confident that state and local laws address concealed weapon and open carry aspects in general but if the presence of children is the qualifier for some new prohibition of the presence of guns then I think there will be some valid constitutional objections.

(2,584 posts)Why in the hell do you need a gun in a library? Doesn't bother you if one of your children are in a library with guns present?
I'm getting damn sick and tired of this gun business. Is it too much to ask to keep your damn guns home?

(68,644 posts)One could just as easily ask, "who needs a gun at a carwash?", "who needs a gun at a museum?"
It's all the same, kids are everywhere so maybe we ought to think about EVERYWHERE. Get it???
My damn guns?
I'm just making a point.
Chill.

Why go to all the trouble of hauling the books they hate out onto the lawn for a bonfire when they can just shoot the hell out of them right on the racks.
