#10 The Noble Lion
This bit of bad taxidermy actually has a funny story behind it. Back in 1731, the Bey of Algiers sent King Frederick I of Sweden a lion. When it died, King Frederick was distraught and sought to have him taxidermied. Unfortunately, the man in charge of mounting the lion had never seen one. This hilarious work of taxidermy was his best guess.



#9 Leopard, Maybe?
At what point do you say "I failed, I should throw this away." This seems like a really great point at which to make this decision. But there he is, behind glass, with a plaque. What museum could be so desperate for an example of a leopard(?) that they would accept this poor beast?


#8 Bull Headed
We get that this taxidermy artist had trouble with the head. The eyes seem to have gotten away from him too. But why on earth did he have to give him an underbite? Why not just close his mouth? It's almost like he humiliated the poor beast on purpose.
