Man buys house next to ex-wife, erects giant middle finger statue.

Nothing quite communicates the wrath of a scorned lover like the middle finger. But in Bloomfield Hills, this middle finger is loud and proud - in the form of a near 12-foot high statue one man erected next door to his ex-wife.

Alan Markovitz recently moved into the home where the statue was erected, which happens to be next to the home where his ex-wife now lives with her new lover, whom she reportedly had an affair with while being married to Markovitz.

How does this do anything other than make his own life awkward? I mean what happens if he tries to explain it to a new girlfriend? Or his kid's friends?

Various reports have identified the man as Alan Markovitz, who owns The Flight Club in Inkster and other strip clubs. Markovitz did not immediately return a message left tonight.

“How psychotic do you have to be to buy the house directly next to your ex wife and then put a statue up like that?!?! Real classy alan,” Tuohy tweeted Nov. 11.

The next day, she tweeted, “its hard for me to enjoy my baths now because my fav tub is in my moms bathroom which faces out towards tif and alans house

Tuohy also posted a picture of the sculpture at the lakefront house illuminated by a spotlight at night.

to keep the message illuminated at all hours"

After erecting a twelve foot illuminated middle finger statue, this poor fellow has unexplicably suffered undeserved, unsought, and unwanted attention -- and now the media even invades his privacy by reporting rumors that his ex-wife cheated on him

How could he survive such injustice?

DU can get a little ugly when it's on an infidelity feeding frenzy.

(I'm not immune, either. I had some pretty choice things to say about a certain Mr. Tiger Woods. Oy...)

I'm sure there's some way to inscribe "O What a Douche I AM" on that hand. That and a little fluorescent pink nail polish and a big old pimpesque watch/ring combo and looking at it could be kind of satisfying.
