This Guy Hiked The Great Wall Of China And Barely Survived. He Captured Some Incredible Pictures

According to a guide book, you can hike the wall for approximately 4 days before finally reaching a village with supplies and transportation. Here is his documented story...that he almost didn't get to tell.

The trailhead. I can't deny that they did not warn me about the trail.

The guy is an idiot. The guidebook warned there wasn't water but he went on without enough water yellowcanine Nov 2013 #1
I was wondering how he almost died from the title... Locut0s Nov 2013 #2
I would think you would want a Camelbak which holds 3 liters or so in those conditions. yellowcanine Nov 2013 #3

anyway. On a trip like that you carry extra water and less food. You can scrape by on a little food. You aren't going anywhere without enough water.

Seemed strange to me considering the wall is basically a huge mega long staircase, not Mt Everest. Even a 4+ day hike though gruelling is easy to prepare for in that kind of situation, you should know what to expect.

But having said that, it didn't sound as if he was in all that much danger anyway. Kind of a drama queen, I think.
